I have been a first grade teacher for 3 years, and taught second grade for 6 years before that. During this time I’ve had to move buildings three times! Whether your a veteran teacher or newbie, the educational world is constantly changing what is defined as “best practices,” but are they always evolving as much as administrators like to tell us? I have worked hard the past 9 years to find and create materials that best meet the needs and gaps I see in my classroom. The materials I have created are meant to be used flexibly to meet the needs that your district lays out.
In addition to my life at work, I felt the need to ease the stress at home…I guess you could say that I am type A. I began meal planning, prepping, and organizing my ever-growing list of chores to suit my lifestyle. It may all seem overwhelming at first, but once you find a system that works for you, you too can feel a weight off your shoulders!
On my blog and throughout my website you will often see pictures of my sweet dog, Moose. He’s a 2 year old sheltie who LOVES to sleep. They do say dogs are like their owners…
Moose, my son, and my husband, Rick, are the three biggest joys in my life and where I dedicate my free time to. They are the reason I became more organized. Now I want to help others have the free time to enjoy their families and friends too!
