I have been a second grade teacher for 5 years, going on six. During this time I’ve had to move buildings twice! (But that is a whole other level of chaos!) Whether your a veteran teacher or newbie, the educational world is constantly changing what is defined as “best practices,” but are they always evolving as much as administrators like to tell us? I have worked hard the past 5 years to find and create materials that best meet the needs and gaps I see in my classroom. The materials I have created are meant to be used flexibly to meet the needs that your district lays out.
In addition to my life at work, I felt the need to ease the stress at home…I guess you could say that I am type A. I began meal planning, prepping, and organizing my ever-growing list of chores to suit my lifestyle. It may all seem overwhelming at first, but once you find a system that works for you, you too can feel a weight off your shoulders!
On my blog and throughout my website you will often see pictures of my sweet dog, Max. He’s a 6 year old sheltie who LOVES to sleep. They do say dogs are like their owners…
Max and my husband, Rick, are the two biggest joys in my life and where I dedicate my free time to. They are the reason I became more organized. Now I want to help others have the free time to enjoy their families and friends too!
